Parker Posey has always been a very effective actress for me. I’ve always hated her on You’ve Got Mail, and rightly so, because she was playing the bitch there. She does it so convincingly too, that I loved her so much on Blade Trinity. Who else can portray that vampire who bares her fangs from a different set of lips? Talk about being bitchy (Currently looking for heroes of bitchiness and so far, Parker Posey’s Danica Talos tops the bill.) Love her so much I can’t wait for her new film “Broken English“, directed by newcomer Zoe Cassavetes. It’s actually showing for a limited release so I don’t know if it would make it to our theatres. Oh well. There’s always Divi and Quiapo. Haha.

An argument broke out at the office dinner table today. They were arguing what course I should’ve taken, as I tend to be such a know-it-all on films, literature and well, trivia. This is what happens when you hang out with the AB Pautakan crowd.
My short stint as a volunteer reviewer (let’s forget why I did it) has taught me so much. As much as I will never ever be a Kathleen nor an Edz nor a Wilfred (you know, those people who are scarily intelligent everytime you imagine them, a humongous head comes to mind.), my brain suddenly began picking up trivia and facts you would have no actual use for in real life. That is, unless you’re playing the part of the know-it-all.
Apparently, along with this newfound powers is the irritating habit of actually saying them out loud in a really noncommital way, which in turn, increases the smug effect. I am not doing it on purpose, it just comes out as such. This syndrome will certainly be cured in the presence of a much smarter person, which means I really miss the AB Pautakan team (minus one. hehe). I can’t wait for Pautakan season, and I hope that when that time comes, I can get to take a day off and review with them again. *sigh*

Currently watching the Labyrinth on Youtube. Can I please marry Jareth? Don’t care if he’s the Goblin King. Haha.
It’s only forever, not long at all.
-Opening song, Labyrinth (1986)
